Thank you for being part of the successful launch of HFT, the first milestone step towards making Hashflow a community-owned protocol. Although we thought the token launch was generally a successful one, it certainly wasn’t perfect, and we’re aware of the issues that many of our users faced.
In the spirit of transparency and learning from this situation to make all Hashflow user experiences as smooth as possible, we wanted to share some additional context as well as a timeline and sequence of events on our launch day (please keep in mind that Hashflow claims work via an off-chain system that relies on cryptographic signatures — this is similar to how our trading platform works):
Although our intent was to enable all users to claim their HFT at the time that the token was listed, we fell short of that objective. Once we realized the issue, the team worked swiftly to remediate the situation as efficiently as possible.
Token claims have been functioning without issue since 14:15 UTC on Nov. 7th and are publicly available via our Dune dashboard:
- In the first hour after listing (13:00–14:00 UTC), a total of ~30M HFT was claimed
- In the first day, a total of ~50M HFT was claimed
- As of the time of this post, 52.5M HFT has been claimed
These figures were distributed pursuant to and in line with the tokenomics allocation and distribution details within our docs.
Despite these issues, we remain committed to building and delivering products that provide our users with the best possible DeFi trading experience. We look forward to unveiling a slate of exciting new features, including additional chain deployments (Solana, Aptos, Sui), cross-chain swaps across EVM and non-EVM chains, limit orders, and structured products. And we’re thrilled for the upcoming launch of the first gamified, NFT-powered DEX governance platform, The Hashverse.
